Maradona Stadium in Naples: inauguration date with the statue for Diego

The Fuorigrotta stadium will be officially inaugurated on Thursday 29 July 2021, where the Napoli Calcio team plays, which for some months has been named after Diego Armando Maradona.

To the delight of all football fans and lovers, the statue dedicated to our Pibe de Oro will also be discovered, donated to the city by the artist Dominic Sepe. Sepe, after the death of Maradona, had immediately proposed to create a sculpture in his honor and is entirely in bronze.

The inauguration will take place at 19.00 and a singing show will probably also take place.

In this beautiful work we can admire Diego's expression which gives us a lot of emotion both for what Maradona represents for the Neapolitan people and for the skill of the artist. The statue will remain forever in the Fuorigrotta stadium.

The Copa Maradona in Naples
