Il November 21, 2017 it is celebrated National Tree Day and, for the occasion, the Royal Park of Palace of Caserta opens its doors in a completely extraordinary way for the event "Trees tell the Old Wood".
For the day dedicated to the important role played by trees, there is a guided tour through the magnificent Park of the Reggia to know and enhance the botanical heritage made up of very interesting species that are characterized by their shape, size and age.
La Tree Day was created with the aim of promoting the importance of greenery to combat CO2 emissions, air pollution, prevent hydrogeological risk and the loss of biodiversity. This year we try to focus also on the prevention of forest fires that recur every summer, destroying hundreds of thousands of hectares of greenery.

The appointment for all the participants is foreseen at 10:30 at the Margherita Fountain, to guide will be the students of the scientific high school "A. Diaz" of Caserta who, as part of the "Alternanza Scuola Lavoro" project, will collaborate with the staff of the Royal Palace to make known the riches of the park, among all the Quercus ilex, the Cinnamomum camphora, Aesculus hippocastanum, Camelia japonica, Magnolia grandiflora.
The journey to discover the botanical heritage of the Palace has the duration of 90 minutes and will cross the "Bosco Vecchio"To reach the" Castelluccia "where a holm oak will be planted, Quercus ilex which will replace a specimen of the forest that fell last year.
