In the splendid Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro, a guided tour of the exhibition "The Golds of San Gennaro and the Angevin Treasures"

The Khymeia Cultural Association has organized for Saturday November 15 an exclusive guided tour of the Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro and at the exhibition "Gold, silver, gems and enamels of the Angevin Naples - 1266-1381".

For those wishing to participate, the itinerary will start from the age-old Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro in the Cathedral of Naples. The cathedral, which jealously guards a priceless heritage of art inside, is the emblem of the importance that our patron saint exercises in Neapolitan culture and is such a place suggestive and with a strong religious atmosphere that calls attention to the eyes of the world.

The route will continue with the exhibition "Gold, silver, gems and enamels of Angevin Naples - 1266-1381" at the Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro. The jewels of the Angevin jewelery will be exhibited, testimony of the ancient richness and splendor of the city of Naples during the domination of the Anjou became the nerve center of culture estimated at the European level.

It will be a unique opportunity to rediscover the famous Neapolitan golden age, to admire the works created by the Neapolitan goldsmiths as a vow to San Gennaro who had saved the city from war, hunger and Vesuvius. They can also be admired in the chapel paintings of Stanzione and Falcone.
