6 works by Shakespeare on stage at the Bellini Theater in Naples for the review “Glob (e) al Shakespeare”.

After the great success achieved during the tenth edition of the Naples Theater Festival, come back to the Bellini Theater of Naples the theatrical review that transforms the structure of this splendid Italian theater into Globe Theater, the famous Elizabethan theater where Shakespeare represented his performances in the distant '500.

Glob (e) at Shakespeare, this is the title of the exhibition that will be held on some dates in October 2017, is a project signed by the director and artistic director Gabriele Russo which includes the representation of 6 works by William Shakespeare in 6 different theatrical rewritings which, through the language of the contemporary scene, confirm the universality of the meaning of its texts.

The peculiarity of the exhibition is not only in the rehabilitation of the works of the Bard but also in the choice of transform the traditional theater structure, and with it also the classic use of the show, in the Elizabethan Globe Theater, depriving the audience of the central seats and placing the stage in the audience, in close contact with the audience and thus reducing the distance between the audience and the actors.

in short Glob (e) at Shakespeare it is not the usual theatrical review on Shakespeare, but it represents something different: an experience of theatrical enjoyment that stimulates the spectator's curiosity, displacing and destabilizing him positively.

Shakespeare's works on stage

The six works of the Bardo chosen for Glob (e) at Shakespeare they will go on stage in pairs. In fact, on each date, two texts will be represented, a comedy and a tragedy, in order to make spectators experience alternate events and feelings, emphasizing the language skills of the Elizabethan playwright, but also the talent of the director for having been able to rewrite and readjust the works following events, contemporary themes and styles, and the actors, who inside of the same evening they show to be able to cover well comic and tragic roles.
