You begin to think more seriously aboutabolition of all anti-Covid restrictions in the coming months, with a gradual loosening of the various rules that will last three months starting from April untilreset of each rule from June.
At least this is the hypothesis put in place by the Government in these days and that could enter the new decree, always though analyzing the trend of infections. In fact, the curve is currently rising and there have been many more cases recorded this week than the previous one and these decisions may not become final.
In the meantime, let's see together what could be the steps that will be followed from 1 April onwards considering that the March 31, 2022 the state of emergency will end related to the pandemic. From this date the anti-Covid measures also expire and not all of them will be extended.
Bars and restaurants
There are two key dates regarding the relaxation of restrictions on the Green Pass:
- from April 1 the Green Pass will not be requested in restaurants, pizzerias, bars and outdoor hotels and this applies to both the enhanced and the basic one;
- from 1 May the Green Pass could also be permanently eliminated for eating indoors in bars, restaurants, hotels and all those places that can also be frequented inside.
Means of transport
From April, things will also change with regard to national and local means of transport, i.e. trains, buses, planes, ships and ferries:
- It will no longer be mandatory to show the Enhanced Green Pass to use public transport, but only the basic Green Pass. It is, remember, the Green Pass which can also be obtained with a negative swab;
- the obligation to use the FFP2 mask could also be eliminated and only surgical masks could be enough.
Theaters, cinemas and sports halls
From the 1 April the Green Pass will not be requested even to participate in outdoor cultural events. Therefore it should not be shown in cinemas, theaters, arenas and other places where outdoor cultural events will be organized.
Instead, in these facilities indoors the obligation to apply for the Green Pass will remain until May 1st.
Stadiums and sporting events
As far as the sport events, from 1 April the capacity will return to being 100%, from the current 75%, in stadiums. Instead, in indoor sports halls it will be 75%.
The Green Pass will no longer be required for outdoor sporting events, such as matches of official competitions, but also for sports between friends such as soccer and basketball.
Indoor gyms and swimming pools
Theobligation to show the Green Pass in gyms and indoor swimming pools until May 1st.
discos
The open-air discos will return to full capacity, but the exact date is yet to be defined.
Workplaces
Until April, even if a date has not yet been decided, the obligation remains to show the Green Pass to enter the workplace. Self-employed workers who are not required to be vaccinated may only need to show the Basic Green Pass and no longer the Enhanced Pass.
The legislation relating to the smart working and companies and workers will have to follow the individual agreements between them, but following simplified procedures.
The school
As for the school, The obligation to wear the FFP2 mask for contacts will gradually be eliminated of a positive and will also change the regulation on quarantines. The latter could also be abolished in case of contact with positive and could also apply to non-vaccinated people.
The obligation to wear masks in general will also be gradually eliminated, but most likely this will not yet be discussed in the new decree.
FFP2 and surgical masks
In general, the aim is to move towards one gradual elimination of the obligation to wear FFFP2 masks indoors and replace them with the surgical masks. Later, we will discuss whether to completely eliminate the obligation to use masks indoors.
We have to wait for the next decree and any subsequent decrees to understand the Government's intentions, also based on the trend of the epidemiological curve.
