For the first time in Naples, and for a single date, Grupo Compay Segundo will perform with its Cuban classics at the Maschio Angioino
Compay Segundo he was the legendary composer, musician and singer of the Cuban group Buena Vista Social Club. His career has been studded with successes and songs that have made the history of music and his career has been exceptionally long, managing to make the world enjoy, for a long time, his skill and sensitivity. In fact, his music has accompanied him and us to the venerable age of 95 years.
Despite its disappearance, occurred in the 2003, the Cuban group composed of 11 very valid musicians, of which two sons of the great artist, Salvador and Basilio, continues to honor the memory of Segundo and to spread his music in the world. The 31 July will be the turn of the city of Napoli where, in the fantastic setting of the courtyard of the Maschio Angioino, Grupo Compay Segundo will perform for the first time.
Classics such as Macusa, Bilongo, Veinte Años, Las Flores de la Vida, the unforgettable will be played Chan Chan, and the indispensable Guantanamera. The latter also gave the title to the band's last album, released on July 9th.
