Ghosts at the Castle are back again this year. A visit for adults and children to discover the mysteries of the Maschio Angioino.
Itinera, an art services company, has re-organized its famous event for Halloween. We have now reached the twelfth edition of "Ghosts At The Castle", a visit playful in which small and large can immerse themselves in Neapolitan traditions to discover interesting mysteries.
This event does not simply want to copy American customs, such as pumpkins, skeletons, witches and whatnot, but allow yourself to know the Neapolitan culture which blends mystery, legend, superstition and popular beliefs that allow our city to have its own personal "cult of the dead". So the topic will be perfect for Halloween.
Itinera recovers the famous legend of the Anime Pezzentelle which, as you probably know, tells the story of some little spirits that every year, the 2 November, return to their old homes: the popular Neapolitan palaces.
The tour will take place inside the mysterious Maschio Angioino and a Itinera guide will accompany you inside entertaining you with fascinating stories that will allow you to discover Neapolitan legends and traditions related to the cult of the dead. In particular, you will explore the Courtyard, the Armory Hall, the Chapel and the Hall of the Barons.
An event dedicated to both adults and children. The former will be guided by experts, while the latter will explore everything through a fun game.
