A brilliant and Neapolitan reinterpretation of Shakespeare's Hamlet, by the company Punta Corsara

Al Bellini Theater of Naples, from 8 to 13 March 2016, it will be on stage Hamlet Travestie, a very original reinterpretation of the famous Hamlet of Shakespeare, masterfully rewritten by Punta Corsara, a company born from a business project in the Neapolitan district of Scampia, and soon became a pearl of the national theater scene.

The show mixes the homonymous work by John Poole, burlesque rewrite ofHamlet by Shakespeare, with the Don Fausto di Antonio Petito, to tell the story of a Neapolitan family today: i Barrel.

A family struggling with debts and with the management of a stall, the situation of which gets worse when the young man Hamletshocked by the death of his father, he is alienated from reality and is convinced that he is condemned to the same fate as the Prince of Denmark. To make him come to his senses the Barilotto decide to stage Shakespeare's Hamlet. Tragicomic situations, fast and brilliant rhythms, the Neapolitan farcical tradition and the great European theater will not fail to surprise the spectators.
