The Archaeological Museum of Naples launches the free video game Father and Son

Father and Son is the free videogame of the Archaeological Museum of Naples, an interactive way to dialogue with culture.

The 19 April 2017 was presented in world premiere during the Muse Festival at Mann, the videogame Father and Son, the Archaeological Museum of Naples, is the first in the world created by an archaeological museum.

This is a project born from the idea of Professor Ludovico Solima of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli who was entrusted with the task of finding new strategies to bring the public closer to the reality of the museum in Campania. The video game will be available for the Apple market and Google Play, for free and without advertising insertions.

The drawings are handmade by Sean Wenham and the original music is composed by Arkadiusz Reikowski.
The contents, on the other hand, were conceived by the director Paolo Giulierini in collaboration with the TuoMuseo team, with international subjects and a lot of experience in the videogames industry.

Father and Son

It is a narrative game in 2D with side scrolling and will have as protagonist Michael, a boy who receives a letter from his father archaeologist never known. It starts like this his adventure between the various historical periods: Egyptian, Roman, Bourbon and stage will always be our beautiful city, with all its historical and architectural wealth. Each player's choice will influence the game, allowing him to learn more about the collection and the characters.

It is made both in English and in Italian and between the most interesting feature is that of check-in. It allows to create a link between the digital content of the videogame and the physical space of the Archaeological Museum: manages to recognize the presence of players up to 20 meters from the structure, thus unlocking new characters and clothes and creating a new location.
