The beautiful Archaeological Park of Paestum and Velia reopens to visitors: discounts and special prices are planned to visit the archaeological site!

The wonderful Archaeological Sites of Paestum and Velia, after the months of closure, the gates reopen to welcome visitors back with many news and special prices scheduled for both families and single entrances.
Visits will be possible, as in all other places of culture in the Campania Region, Monday to Friday, while on Saturdays and Sundays the site will respect the closure established by the anti-Covid 19 regulations.
You can then return to admire the splendid ones temples of Paestum and participate in specials thematic visits to the metopes of the Temple of Peace that just in the closing period have been restored.
In the Archaeological park of Velia instead you can participate in walks on the ridge of the gods, it is a particular trekking route immersed in nature and archeology and which includes about 3 hours of walking. Reservations are required, at the email address in the information mirror, by 16:00 on the day before the visit.
The anti-Covid 19 rules and promotions
For the reopening the archaeological sites have adopted all the sanitation regulations aimed at limiting the spread and contagion from Coronavirus. Therefore gods were organized compulsory visit routes to avoid crowding, visitors will have the obligation to wear a mask and at the entrance the body temperature will be measured.
With regard to promotions, the ticket for the Archaeological Park of Paestum and Velia it will be valid for three days and will include access to the Archaeological Area and the Museum of Paestum and the Archaeological Area of Velia. The cost of a single ticket is 6 euros, while for families with 2 adults and one or more children and teenagers up to 25 years is 10 euros.
The obligatory visit routes
Paestum
The obligatory visit routes, designed to avoid gatherings, in the Archaeological Park of Paestum are:
- Red route to visit the main monuments of the archaeological area and the most important rooms of the Paestum museum. The duration is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Blue route to visit the archaeological area and the museum of Paestum briefly. The overall duration is approximately 45 minutes.
Velia
The obligatory visit routes in the Archaeological Park of Velia are:
- Red route to visit the main monuments of the archaeological area. The duration is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. Last admission is at 14pm.
- Blue route for a short visit to the lower city or to the Acropolis of Velia. The duration is about 45 minutes).
After the 14: 30 hours only the blue route can be visited.
