After 25 years of closure, the Park of the Royal Palace of Caserta will reopen to the public for the day of Easter Monday 2017!
For the first time since 25 years, the Park of the Palace of Caserta will reopen for Easter Monday, which this year falls on 17 April 2017.
A decision that will delight the many who every year wish to spend Monday in Albis in the green area of the royal palace, but who have not been able since 1992 following the closure made necessary from the damage that was caused each time by the large influx of people. The last time, in 1991, about one hundred thousand people poured into the meadows and the situation became unmanageable.
This year, however, the Director Mauro Felicori has decided to go against the tide and to arrange the opening of the park, above all thanks to the ever higher number of tourists who come from all over the world and the growing international prestige of the Royal Palace of Caserta.
THEentrance fee will be charged.
Easter in the Park: the limitations
However, the historical decision also involves some limitations. Indeed, you can not bring balloons, tables, backpacks, food, drinks and other useful objects to make picnics or bivouacs of various kinds. In short, all that is incompatible with a visit to a museum area. Furthermore, as far as can be read on the Official site, the Management has arranged that "only for this day will the entry for holders of the annual nominative ticket of the Park be suspended".
