Tradition, religiosity and art for the Imago Mundi 2016 event in Naples.
Throughout the month of September the city of Naples will be animated by the events within the project "Imago Mundi 2016, Festivals and Saints of the city of Naples" promoted by the Municipality.
The event wants to bring together in a single tourist route three historical Neapolitan religious festivals and bells, without neglecting the artistic, cultural and gastronomic aspect of the territory, in order to attract attention to the local tradition.
The three traditional festivals are that of Piedigrotta, of San Gennaro and San Alfonso de 'Liguori, characterized by celebratory moments for other laity.
Piedigrotta Festival
It is one of the religious celebrations e folk oldest and most popular of the city dedicated to the celebration of the Madonna. In this special procession will end with a concert followed by the evocative show of fireworks on the Lungomare Caracciolo.
Feast of San Gennaro
On the feast of the Patron Saint, the participants, in addition to witnessing the miracle of blood liquefaction, in the following days will be able to participate in concerts, theatrical performances and cabaret with the presence of the comedians of Made in the South.
Feast of Sant'Alfonso Maria De 'Liguori
The Saint is the patron of the city and in his honor there will be concerts and food stands will be set up where the local culinary excellences will be tasted.
