Italy red zone at Christmas and New Year: here are all the prohibitions

The prohibitions for Christmas, New Year and Epiphany in Italy: the red zone is triggered for the holiday period. Here's what they are.

The new MCPD valid from 21 December 2020 provides for i bans for Christmas holidays, New Year ed Epiphany in order to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus infection in Italy. There is aonly red area, alternating with days in which there will be the orange zone o yellow, from the 24 December 2020 to the 6 January 2021.

The days of the red zone are: from 24 to 27 December, from 31 December to 3 January, 5 and 6 January. Those in the orange zone: from 28 to 30 December and 4 January.

Here are the prohibitions.

Italy in the red and orange zone: that's when

Yellow zone: December 19th and 20th

The DPCM foresees that on 19 and 20 December it will be possible move freely in all yellow regions and between regions themselves. You can move to second homes.

I shops will be open until 21.00 and will have to follow the anti-gathering rules, while i bars and restaurants will be open until 18.00 with the possibility of takeaway and home delivery until 22.00pm.
Il curfew it is always up to hours 22.00.

Yellow zone: from 21 to 23 December

Part of the prohibition of travel between regions, with exceptions for reasons of work, health, necessity and urgency and to return to your home. You can be reunited with a partner who works in another city. You can only move to second homes in your own region.

I shops remain open until 21.00 and of bars and restaurants are open until 18.00. Also open hairdressers and barbers.
Il curfew stays at hours 22.00.

Red zone: from 24 to 27 December, from 31 December to 3 January, 5 and 6 January

Take the red zone throughout Italy: shops close, barrestaurants e beauty salons. Open food, pharmacies, tobacco, newsagents e libraries with the timetables of public holidays. Churches open until 22.00pm.

Movements are prohibited even within one's own municipality, with exceptions for reasons of necessity, work and urgency with obligation to self-certification. You can go out for physical activity and assist (but only one person can) those who are not self-sufficient.

The Government has foreseen some exemptions for home invitations: you can visit friends and relatives within the region only between 5.00 and 22.00 and you can travel up to 2 people. minor 14 years, Disabled and non self-sufficient people, who are not included in the calculation of the derogation.

You can move to second homes within the region.

Orange zone: December 28-30 and January 4

The restrictive measures are relaxed because i shops reopen until 21.00, the bars and restaurants until 18.00. curfew and at 22.00 and the ban on travel between regions remains. You can move in your own municipality and in your region, always with self-certification. You can move to second homes within the region.

Il curfew it's at 22.00.

The exemption for small municipalities: from a municipality with less than 5 thousand inhabitants you can move to another municipality, but within 30km of distance and not towards provincial capitals.
