From the book of the same name by Savyon Liebrech, "The banality of love" arrives at the theater

At the Teatro Mercadante in Naples will be staged, from February 28 to 11 March, the show "The banality of love". The work is the staging of thehomonym book signed by Savyon Liebrech, readapted for the occasion by the skilful direction of Pietro Maccarinelli.

"The protagonist of this work - explains Maccarinelli in a note - is Hannah Arendt, one of the most important figures of the European '900, born in Germany and forced to emigrate due to the racial laws first in France and then in the United States. "History, feeling and philosophy are intertwined in this show: the protagonist is a German Jew persecuted by Nazism, always cultivating a passion for the German philosopher Martin Heidegger (inspired by National Socialist).

Precisely this attraction towards Heidegger will play a central role in the work, with the protagonist who, initially contacted to release an interview about the Eichmann process, will find himself reckoning with his memories linked to the philosopher.
