The Campania Region enters the orange zone: here are the prohibitions and changes!
The division of regions into red, orange, and yellow zones continues as part of the health emergency, a classification based on the risk of contracting the coronavirus.
Our region, Campania , is preparing to move, after about a month, from the red zone to the orange zone , i.e. the intermediate risk zone, a move that will probably take effect from Monday 19 April 2021.
This decision was made based on the results monitored by the Technical Scientific Committee (CTS) and the Ministry of Health's Control Room, which assessed the trend of infections. Furthermore, the Rt infectiousness index has fallen below the critical threshold, thus raising the possibility of a color transition.
With the transition to the orange zone, there will be some changes to the rules to be followed, but some restrictions remain in place . Let's see what they are.
Transfers and curfews
Regarding travel, the Campania region's transition from a red to an orange zone allows people to move freely within their municipality of residence or domicile without having to submit a self-certification, which will be required to leave the municipality.
The ban on leaving the province and region remains in effect . The curfew is still in effect from 22:00 PM to 05:00 AM.
Visits to friends and relatives
In the orange zone, visits to relatives and friends are permitted only once a day. Visits are permitted for two people at a time, including children under 14, but must remain within their own municipality.
Schools
In-person learning will also be available for students up to eighth grade, as well as for nursery, kindergarten, and elementary schools. For high schools, 50% to 75% will be in-person, with the remainder available for remote learning.
Second houses
Free access to second homes , alone or with cohabitants, is permitted. However, it is prohibited to host friends and relatives who do not cohabit. This movement is permitted provided they are the owners or have a rental agreement signed prior to January 14, 2021.
Shops, hairdressers and beauticians
In the orange zone, all shops reopen. On holidays and the days before holidays, only grocery stores, pharmacies, newsstands, and tobacconists can remain open inside shopping centers. Hairdressers, barbers, and beauty salons can also reopen.
Bars and restaurants
Unfortunately, the situation remains unchanged for bars and restaurants . In fact, with the transition to orange, as in the red zone, table service is prohibited in bars and restaurants . However, takeaway is still permitted for restaurants until 22:00 PM and for bars until 18:00 PM, as well as home deliveries.
However, it seems that the Government is considering introducing a new zone, a reinforced yellow zone , for mid-April, in which it will be possible to eat at tables in bars and restaurants at least at lunchtime.
Sports, gyms and swimming pools
Outdoor walks and jogging are permitted, as are individual sports such as tennis, padel, and golf. In this case, travel outside your municipality is permitted if there are no suitable facilities for practicing the sport.
Gyms and swimming pools remain closed.
Cinemas and theaters
Theaters, cinemas, museums, and exhibitions remain closed.
Self-certification April 2021
Self-certification is necessary to leave your municipality and more generally to do one of the actions that are not allowed. It is allowed to go to assist non self-sufficient people, to go to the children who live with the ex-spouse and also the partners who live in two different cities can be reunited.
However, be careful to always have a self-certification with you, as failure to do so and any of the situations listed above could result in fines ranging from €400 to €5.
