The biggest Hackathon in the world will be in Naples, a challenge between experts promoted by NASA to develop important apps!
Il 29 and 30 April 2017 at the Federico II University of Naples start the 2017 edition of the International Space Apps Challenge, an event promoted by NASA for the third consecutive year and co-organized by the US Consulate General for Southern Italy together with the Institute for the Electromagnetic Detection of the Environment (IREA-CNR) and the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Naples Federico II.
It is of the largest Hackaton which attracts thousands of participants from all continents. Scientists, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, students, space enthusiasts, informatics, programmers and designers will combine their knowledge to find solutions to global challenges for life on Earth and in space, following a method of problem solving collaborative and open-source.
How to participate and program
Participation is free, just register on website of the International Space Apps Challenge in Naples.
The 28 April at 10: 30 at the headquarters of San Giovanni a Teduccio of the University of Naples Federico II there will be the presentation conferencewhile the 2017 Space Apps will officially start on Saturday 29 April at 8: 00 with the registration of those who will participate in the project, the formation of the teams and the presentation of the challenges. The challenges will end Sunday 30 April at 19: 00 after which NASA will examine the projects and choose the winners of each category in the race.
This year, for the first time, two special prizes to be won by the US Consulate for Southern Italy will be presented.
