On the occasion of "The Night of the Museums 2015", the Complex of Santa Maria delle Anime del Purgatorio in Arco organizes a special guided tour of the church and the Hypogeum
Also this year there will be the usual appointment with The Night of the Museums, the event that will allow, in many European cities, the “night” visit to museums and art sites. An opportunity to rediscover the beauties of the artistic and cultural heritage of our cities in the moonlight.
The initiative will be held, the next Saturday May 16 2015, also in Naples, where, gradually, the museums that, exceptionally, will be taking part open their doors to the public up to 24, with special guided tours.
The suggestive Museum Complex of Santa Maria delle Anime of Purgatory in Arco, in the heart of the historic center of Naples, will enrich its visit itinerary with the opening of the cabinets of the Camera Sancta to show, in addition to those already exhibited, other precious relics of the liturgical heritage present in the Museo dell'Opera Pia Purgatorio in Arco.
It will therefore be possible to admire the large walnut wardrobes, the gold and silver embroidery made by master craftsmen of acopainting and the liturgical garments and of Vestments, characterized by particular colors and precious motifs, from which you can understand the liturgical role and the symbolism that distinguishes them and also the importance of these ancient finds full of cultic meanings.
The museum complex will be open during the day according to the usual hours from 10:00 to 17:00, and then reopen again at 19:00.

The visits will start at 19:00 and will continue every 30 minutes for groups of max 30/35 people. The last visit will be made at 22:30 pm.
