La Notte del Lavoro Narrated in Naples and Campania the 30 April 2014

The Narrated Work Night will take place in Naples and Campania on 30 April in numerous clubs, houses, streets, institutions and you can participate with the hashtag #lavoronarrato

We like Italy that thinks of work, so I deserve respect and consideration.
Italy that gives more value to work and less value to money, more value to what people know, and can do, and less value to what they have.
Italy that believes in work as identity, dignity, rights, responsibility, autonomy, future and therefore does not consider it only a means, a necessity, but also an end, a possibility.

This is the opening line of the Manifesto for the Night of Narrated Work , the evening event preceding May 1st, also known as Labor Day. This initiative, scheduled for April 30th , aims to restore the dignity of workers and work itself, and will take place in all Italian cities, including Naples.

Because every worker and every type of work have a dignity that is too often trampled or ignored and, with La Night of Work Narrated, you want to tell it in a lively, fun, romantic, serious and profound way.
Tonight, from 20.30 onwards, anyone who wants to meet in the squares, in the local, in bars, houses, museums and will share work stories, reading, singing, playing or painting.

The initiative was conceived by Vincenzo Moretti and Alessio Strazzullo, and the event will involve numerous venues, associations, and institutions throughout Naples and Campania . For example, at the Archeobar literary café on Via Mezzocannone, where the event will begin at 6:30 p.m., the theme of work as a right and legality will be discussed, accompanied by good music; at the Gambrinus bar in Chiaia, tourism will be discussed; at the Italian Institute for the Future , on Via San Biagio dei Librai, researchers will discuss their work through a book, a film, and a location. But there are so many venues to visit, and we'll provide a complete list at the end of this article.

The entire event can be followed live on the web : just use the hashtag #lavoronarrato and share your photos, comments, thoughts, videos and all your content on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and all the material will then be collected to create a short film.

The Radio Siani, the web radio of Herculaneum, will participate in the initiative through a transmission conducted by Mimmo Caiazza and Valentina Cozzolino, who will tell the various faces of the world of work in the presence of two guests: a widow with a dependent child, whose husband died later to a work accident and the "Collective Space“, A team of urban planners who worked on the recovery and definition of new development strategies for their territory.
You will also read a letter written by the mother of one of the victims of the Thyssenkrupp tragedy.
