On the seafront of Naples will be a long pizza 2 km to beat the Guinness World Record!
Updated: due to bad weather the event was postponed. Unfortunately, a storm of strong intensity made the movement necessary, causing serious damage to the structures. Therefore the new appointment is for Wednesday May 18 2016, in agreement with the institutions and the competent authorities.

Also this year we will try to overcome the record of the longest pizza of the world a Napoli and it will be done on the Lungomare Caracciolo, 15 18 May 2016, thanks to the event "The Union does the Pizza", promoted by the Pizza Village.
Promoted by the Napoli Pizza Village and by Caputo-Il Mulino di Napoli, the appointment will not only make your mouth water, but it will be truly spectacular to behold. In fact, to enter the Guinness World Record, pizza makers will have to prepare and cook one long pizza well 2 km.
In this way, they will go down in history, breaking the 1,5km record set at the Milan Expo.
all day, from morning to night, will prepare a huge mixture of 40cm wide and 2km in length that will be cooked in 5 special and mobile ovens, made and patented ad hoc. It will be made exclusively with Campania DOC ingredients: 2.000 kg of flour, 1.600 kg of tomatoes, 2.000 kg of fiordilatte, 200 liters of oil and 30 kg of basil.
To certify the record will be i responsible for the World Committee of the Guiness World Record that will follow all the operations of spreading, garnishing and cooking, to then measure the pizza and assign the new record.
At the end of the preparation, the pizza will be offered to all present and to beneficial associations. In fact, thanks to the Department of Social Policies of Naples, an agreement is being finalized to offer pizza to the most needy. The Oramata company will take care of transporting the pizza in food-safe vans.
During the event you can also sign in support of the nomination of the Neapolitan Pizzaiuolo as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
