The street art work on the steps of the Archaeological Museum of Naples reproduces Donatello's Carafa horse head!

On the side stairway of the Archaeological Museum of Naples was inaugurated aimportant work of street art which reproduces the Testa di Cavallo Carafa created by Donatello. The design was presented during the inauguration of the Muse Festival at the Museum and was made by Davide Diavù Vecchiato.

The author, commenting on his work, said that his purpose was to highlight this symbol of Naples which also represents the freedom for the city. A freedom well represented by the wide opening of the nostrils. The design was done with removable quartz and from now on it will be part of the Museum's collection in all respects.
It should be observed only from a certain point of view since only from the right position he recomposes himself, as it was built on several steps. It also becomes a kind of game because, if you move around, it becomes almost an abstract work.

According to the director Paolo Giulierini, in this way we also wanted to pay homage to the city, establishing a link between past and present, using Carafa's head through the forms of contemporary art.
This will be the first work that will welcome the visitor both outside the Museum and inside, in fact, the large head made by Donatello is located right at the entrance.
