The well-known Italian series “The Brilliant Friend", taken from Elena Ferrante's books, is back on the Rai networks starting from 3 June 2023, in the early evening on Rai 3. The whole cycle of first three seasons will be transmitted, while the fourth season he will make his first television appearance in the fall.

Plot episode 1×05, The Shoes
The series traces the path of an extraordinary friendship that develops from Napoli from 1950 to the present day, between Elena “Lenù” Greco and Raffaella “Lila” Cerullo. While Elena decide to ending her relationship with Gino, Purple conceives the idea of a couple of modern shoes and unique with his brother. But the father he doesn't seem willing to support her in this project.
At the same time, Marcello Solara, who fell in love with Purple, declares his feelings for her, but is rejected. Despite this, Marcello manages to first gain Rino's trust and then that of Fernando Cerullo, finally arriving at asking for Lila's hand.
Plot episode 1 × 06, The island
During his period a Ischia, Elena unexpectedly crosses the family Sarrator. This circumstance allows her to approach Nino, sharing a pure kiss on the beach. On his fifteenth birthday, however, Donato Sarratore, Nino's father, hits her with an intense and passionate kiss. Shocked and intimidated, she Elena decides to leave the island immediately.
Guest of Nella, a relative of the teacher Oliviero, in Ischia Elena is in contact with the Sarratores, who are spending their holidays there. The possibility of being close to Nino awakens new feelings in her.
When, however, he hears from a letter from Purple about the pressures put on her by Marcello Solara, Elena decides to return home as soon as possible. Precisely on her fifteenth birthday, Donato Sarratore surprises her with a violent kiss, prompting her to flee from Ischia the following morning.
