There are 4 historic trams in Naples offered for sale by the ANM: many others, however, are restored and active in the city.
THEANM of Naples has decided to sell four historic trams from the 30s at a relatively low price that stands at 3780 euros per model. This is the auction base.
The decision was made why these means cannot be reused by the company, unlike other tram models which instead were also restore e put back into circulation as a vintage tram, even for tourist purposes.
The models for sale are i CT139K, even circulated from before the Second World War and they have also been shot in many period films and photos. ANM has announced that these trams can also be purchased individually and the purchase offer must take place by March 19, 2021.

The CT139K trams have been replaced over the years by more modern Sirio models and currently all the historical ones are in the San Giovanni a Teduccio deposit.
There are 15 CTK cars in total and only 4 of these have been destined for sale, while the other 11, although not currently running, can be recovered.
Historic trams have different colors that distinguish them: some have the classic green, others are orange, still others have the colors of the city and there is one that has been called the Tram of Wishes, whose livery was curated by the artist Nicolina Johnson of New York.

The company's notice has also sparked some controversy since also Nino Simeone, the president of the Mobility Commission of the Municipality of Naples, wondered whether it is appropriate to sell a historical heritage like that and not even reuse it as a tourist attraction. His intention is to convene a commission to better analyze the issue.
ANM responded by stating that these are trams that the company has not been able to restore and that for this reason they have been put up for sale. After a careful evaluation, in fact, it was considered that those 4 models could be alienated.
