Belly dance, tea in the desert and Middle Eastern crafts await you at the Mostra d'Oltremare in Naples for the “Thousand and One Nights” festival!
The Middle Eastern charm with its perfumes and its colors is going to get to Mostra d'Oltremare of Naples! For two weekends, from the 30 June to the 2 July 2017 and from the 7 to the 9 July 2017, the event will be held One thousand and one nights, a festival entirely dedicated to the Middle East that falls within the largest event Naples Meet the World that will animate the Mostra d'Oltremare with many other international festivals that will take place at the same time.
One thousand and one nights it will be an unmissable opportunity to immerse yourself in the true Middle Eastern atmospheres, among the bazaars of the splendid and precious local crafts, intoxicating aromas of spices and incense, the seductive movements of the belly dancers. An unmissable event if you want to discover the traditions, folklore, music and enogastronomy of this fascinating and ancient world!

Inside the festival you can admire the Middle Eastern handicrafts, as objects in wrought metal and inlaid, decorated wooden objects, but also the beautiful ceramics, majolica, the colorful Moroccan cementine, suggestive lamps and lanterns, fine fabrics in raw silk, woven cotton and wool with loom weaving, cushions, carpets, silks, mirrors, and much more! You will feel like walking through the alleys of the traditional medina!
Tea in the desert
Have you ever had tea in the desert? Here is an opportunity to do it! In the festival One thousand and one nights you can participate in the famous Tea ritual in the desert, a moment of relaxation devoid of worries "that God created so that souls may find themselves". A sacred rite that relaxes the mind and heartbeat through the sound of the boiling teapot! You will be able to discover all the secrets of tea and savor all types, from bitter to sweet, of the most popular drink of the "blue men"!
Belly dance
You can admire them seductive belly dancers and from the odalisques, watching the traditional dances and being literally enraptured by the colorful Tannura dance, getting lost in the intimist choreography of the Sufi and rediscovering the gastronomy, traditions and folklore of these fascinating countries.
