Tastings, theater and music at the Lemon Night 2017 festival in Maiori!
Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 August 2017, in Maiori, in the wonderful scenery of Borgo di San Pietro, on the Amalfi coast will be held the fourth edition of the "Lemon Night".
The event will celebrate the yellow gold of the territory: the fragrant lemon, which will be one of the ingredients used in the various dishes that can be tasted. They will be set up for the occasion 8 food stands that will move along the village, through the characteristic alleys and the ancient stairs, immersed in lemon gardens.
We can taste the tuna tartare with dried fruit and anchovy sauce, typical pasta with chickpea clams and sheep's ricotta salata, parmigiana di melenzane with provola and cod, cut of pineapple and fresh fruit, sorbets, a selection of igp lemon sweets accompanied by limoncello and liqueurs with chocolate and lemon. Even celiacs can taste the same menu completely "gluten free".
In addition to the gastronomic itinerary, a "Masaniè ... Urbis Rex!" theatrical course, organized by the "Atellana" association, inspired by the story of Masaniello, the Neapolitan revolutionary who opposed the Spanish regency. Also there will be a pleasant musical entertainment.
The event is aimed at the enhancement and rediscovery of the flavors of our land, which with the Acarbio association has relaunched the cultivation of “the rediscovered tomato of the Amalfi Coast”, the “Re Fiascone.
