"Li nipute de lu sinneco" by Eduardo Scarpetta is staged at the Piccolo Bellini in Naples, in an unprecedented and original reinterpretation

During Christmas, from 28 December 2016 to 8 January 2017, will be staged at Little Bellini of Naples, the "experimental" room of the Bellini Theater, "Li nipute de lu sinneco", the famous comedy by Eduardo Scarpetta.

The most important actor and author of the Neapolitan theater who had the merit of creating the modern dialectal theater by introducing, in the theatrical scene, novelties concerning all aspects of the scenic art, such as acting, make-up, sets and costumes.

The director Pino Carbone has created an unprecedented and original version of Scarpetta's original text starting from the idea of children who play being on stage li nipute de lu sinneco. And actually, on the stage of the Piccolo Bellini, there will be two adult actors playing the role of two children who will give life to Scarpetta's work with their toys and their dolls, who will become its characters. And so the tricks of the mother, the too big clothes of the father will recreate the story and the plot that are based on the disguise on stage and the misunderstanding that arises from it.

A great work made even more interesting and fascinating by this reinterpretation that will see the actors the main focus of the scenic dramaturgy: they will turn the lights on and off and start the music. The only perceived presence, outside the small space of the stage, it will only be the public. A presence that will give them the reason to tell a story.
