From 8 November 2016 on the stage of the theater Little Bellini of Naples a fascinating show will be held "Shakespeare in love (with Marlowe)" that will transport the public back in time, in the extraordinary Elizabethan era.
At the center of the affair two famous key figures in the history and literature of the sixteenth century: Christopher Marlowe and William Shakespeare, two geniuses of the Elizabethan theater, on whose friendship-rivalry relationship between them have circulated legends and writings of all kinds.
Thanks to this show it will be possible to attend the representation of their romantic and dramatic lives, as magnificent and magical as the theater they gave life to. Two personalities, that of a young Shakespeare who contrasts with an already established Marlowe, intertwine with each other, involving us in an extraordinary travel "in costume" in the lives of two famous poets.
Marlowe he is depicted as an enigmatic character, the secret agent of Queen Elizabeth who dies, after leading a dissolute existence, at the age of 29, under mysterious circumstances during a brawl. ShakespeareInstead, he is a young poet fascinated by Christopher's fame and personality, but ready to go down in history.
To perform Marlowe and Shakespeare respectively, on the stage of Piccolo Bellini, two actors of great depth and talent: Ennio Coltorti and Emiliano Jesus Coltorti, father and son, in an interesting scenic confrontation between two theatrical generations, in the past that evoke as well as in their present.
