After the advances on the May of 2013 Monuments, was presented this morning complete program of the XIX edition to be held 4 from May to June 2 2013 and which has as its title Through Naples. Cloisters, courtyards and sagrati.

The event every year guides citizens and tourists to discover the cultural and artistic treasures of a city now considered an open-air museum, ready to hatch and unveil its wonders, hidden behind every corner of the road. In this May of the 2013 Monuments Naples will lead us among its many open-air places, those hidden in the tangles of its streets, among its courtyards, palaces, cloisters or basilicas, libraries and historical archives, which will reveal all their beauty.

Scheduled this year well 200 sites to visit, including places that will be open to the public for the first time.

Two special itineraries to follow:

  • Naples city of Boccaccio: dedicated to the 700 years of the famous Italian poet, whose novels will be the main focus of some events in the city, read by young actors in 10 different courtyards
  • Neapolitan song and music: a path created in collaboration with Rai, whose Neapolitan headquarters turns 50 this year

Il May of the 2013 Monuments it does not belong to the Municipality of Naples, but to the city, to the initiatives and proposals received from cultural associations, individual citizens, organizations and institutions, artists, which have enriched the cultural agenda of the Neapolitan spring.

Will more than 100 the cloisters and the courtyards open to the public, while there will be more than 600 guided tours through the city of Naples, in a dense program of events that includes performances, evenings, shows, conferences, concerts, meetings, readings.

La communication campaign will be entrusted to the students of the Academy of Fine Arts, who took care of the graphic concept of the advertising material of the event.
