The guided tour of the Church and Crypt of SS. Cosma and Damiano
At 11:30 am with an exceptional guide, a special guided tour will start that will lead guests to discover the history of Church and Crypt of SS. Cosma and Damiano, in Secondigliano, one of the most important and evocative places of the cult of the souls in Purgatory, also known as the cult of pezzentelle souls.
In the hypogeum of this church there was the Wedding shoes, that is, a skull with a white dress, to which the citizens asked for help to favor marriages, and then one more Medical, with a white coat, which was invoked for health and many other figures like the Monk, the Marshal and other. To date, all these figures are no longer visible because they were collected inside a large display case.
To welcome you there will be Francesca Amirante and Raffaele Siciliano of the CosDam ODV Association, a reality that was created to bring together all the young people of the neighborhood who care about the protection and conservation of the complex.
