Beautiful guided tours to discover the places of health up to the wonderful restored fresco on the Porta San Gennaro in Naples!
It has been very recently the marvelous fresco by Mattia Preti has been restored and revealed to the public which is located above the Porta San Gennaro a Napoli, for this reason some interesting ones are already planned guided tours within the May of the Monuments.
To begin immediately to enhance the work and make it known to citizens, guided tours will be organized in two weekends, that one of 22 and 23 May and that of 29 and 30 May 2021, as part of the Maggio dei Monumenti.
The walks, entitled "Following in the footsteps of San Gennaro“, He will take us along the road that connected Naples with the necropolis where the first Christians were buried. We will leave from the Church of Santa Maria alla Sanità, where the Catacombs of San Gaudioso, connected with the Catacombs of San Gennaro (neither of the two Catacombs will be the object of the visit). After traveling the Borgo Vergini, you will arrive at Porta San Gennaro to admire the restoration.
