There are many no Green Pass and no vax events in many cities of Italy and some have also been organized a Napoli. The new Lamorgese Directive, which takes its name from the current Minister of the Interior, aims to regulate these marches to ensure public health and the safety of the cities.

It is about some rules that they do not provide for an absolute ban on demonstrations, but they are prescriptions designed to protect health in this pandemic period and are applicable to all types of parades.

Let's see what it is.

The new rules for demonstrating

According to the Lamorgese Directive:

  • are all events prohibited, therefore also those no Green Pass and those no vax, for which it is feared they may create security problems and risks of cities and people and to public health;
  • are the prefects to decide if some areas of the cities must be banned from demonstrations and, if so, what rules and regulations to follow if the procession is allowed in another area. The prefect can also decide for an alternative route or for a sit-in.

The streets forbidden to processions in Naples

The Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety of Naples has decided to ban demonstrations in via Toledo, via Chiaia and in the area of Decumani in the historical center.

More precisely, cannot be manifested: in via Toledo in the stretch between largo Berlinguer and piazza Trieste e Trento, via Chiaia, via San Sebastiano, via Benedetto Croce, piazzetta Nilo, via San Biagio dei Librai in the area between piazza del Gesù Nuovo and via Duomo and in the Decumani area.

These new rules guarantee both constitutional rights on the right to demonstrate and those relating to public health because alternative roads and routes are identified with respect to those considered more sensitive and at risk.
