Back to the marathon in Naples, an event of fundamental importance that because in our city has not been held for 7 years and finally we can host it again. It will take place Sunday 14 November 2021.
The race is the traditional race on one distance of 42,195 km, with departure from Piazza del Plebiscito and it is one of the most important sporting moments for a runner. The race is organized by the SSD Neapolis Marathon which includes professional athletes with long experience in organizing major sporting events.
Gods will also be organized along the way musical moments need Entertainment for the public waiting to admire the athletes as they pass along the course.
The Neapolis Marathon Village
A large village in Piazza del Plebiscito with the collaboration of Coldiretti.
Indeed, the theme of this year's edition is Sport & Nutrition and in the village there will be debates, meetings, events and many appointments dedicated to the importance of good nutrition and sport in the life of each of us. They will also not fail events for children and there will be important testimonials from the world of sport.
All the races of the day
In addition to Competitive Neapolis Marathon of 42,195 km, the Naples Half Marathon competitive of 21,097km, the Naples Sea Run ludico motor of 8 km, all on November 14th.
Instead, on November 13 they will run there Naples Fast Walk ludico motor of 10 km and the Neapolis Children & Smiles motor play of 2 km.
The route of the marathon
The departure for all is in Piazza del Plebiscito to continue on via Cesario Console and via Nazario Sauro, via Partenope and from here admire the beautiful Gulf of Naples. YES arrive at piazza Vittoria, via Caracciolo and via Mergellina, on largo Sermoneta and then returning to via Caracciolo and via Partenope. From here, in via admiral Ferdinando Acton and then to the San Vincenzo pier, with the sensation of running on the water.
You return again to via Acton, then to via Cristoforo Colombo, via Nuova Marina, via Amerigo Vespucci and the return starts from the Arnaldo Lucci roundabout. Then via Vespucci, via Marina, via Alcide de Gasperi, via Marchese Campodisola, piazza Bovio, corso Umberto I, passage to Piazza Garibaldi and back on Corso Umberto I and Piazza Bovio. Continue on Via De Pretis, Piazza Municipio, via Vittorio Emanuele III, via San Carlo, Piazza Trieste and Trento and finally at passage to the arrival arch in piazza del Plebiscito.
This is the finish line for the Neapolis Half athletes and the first transit for the 42,195 km Neapolis Marathon athletes who will have to repeat the route.
Bus diverted and roads closed
On the occasion of the marathon they will be the roads concerned were closed to traffic.
