Silent March in Naples from Piazza Dante to Piazza del Plebiscito where the famous "ritual" of horses will take place
Sunday May 25th one will be held Silent March which will cross the symbolic squares of the city of Naples, Piazza Dante and Piazza del Plebiscito.
It is the second silent march, which therefore does not include megaphones, choirs, banners and flags by the participants in the parade, organized by the association Be a tourist of your city, which has been operating for three years "in silence" to sensitize citizens to their artistic and cultural heritage, and to enhance some places in Naples.
Members of Be a tourist of your city often clean up squares and monuments from garbage, organize events to draw the attention of citizens and institutions to their forgotten and abandoned riches (such as the procession who "embraced" Pompeii a few weeks ago), but they also organize free guided tours and welcome tourists to the station or to the port.
La second Silent March on Sunday 25 May it will have as its objective that of gathering all those who love Naples and who do not want to see it let go to the degradation of indifferent people and institutions. The appointment is scheduled for 12 hours in Piazza Dante. We will then continue along via Toledo, with a stop at the Toledo metro station, a symbol of a "rebirth of the city" and another stop outside the Galleria Umberto.
The March will end in Piazza del Plebiscito where a traditional and popular "ritual" will be held. Here a group of volunteers will try their hand at "Game of horses", the challenge that consists in being able to cross 170 meters of the square blindfolded, starting from the door of the Royal Palace to be able to center the space between the two equestrian statues
Luca De Martino, founder of the association, declares: “We are much more than a cultural association, we currently represent a real youth movement, committed to strengthening the city's brand as well. On 25 May we extended the invitation also to those who have new projects in mind and the latest requests for participation even came from the province of Salerno ”.
