Marco Travaglio brings "Slurp" to the Bellini Theater, a therapeutic recital that hits the licks of the worst ruling class in the world
“Yum. Lickers, courtiers & drooling pens at the service of the powerful who have ruined us ", this is the title of the last book of Marco Travaglio which will be presented in the form of a recital, al Bellini Theater in Naples from 18 to 20 November 2016.
Directed by the director Valerio Binasco, Marco Travaglio and Giorgia Salari they will tell, in one scratchy social and political satire, the history of all those journalists, commentators and intellectuals who, over the years, have beatified and praised the Italian political class and the managers who, according to Travaglio, have represented and still represent "the worst ruling class in the world".
Within this therapeutic recital they will also be passed on toSome brilliant quotes from the videos of the Istituto Luce and of the chronicles of the Ministry of Popular Culture of Mussolinian memory. To make us understand that the press habits of pleasing power have not changed much from the years of fascism to the present.
Slurp is a satirical antidote that will make us “laugh so as not to cry”, which it aims to heal Italians from conformism, gullibility and self-harm, from that strange Stockholm Syndrome that leads to “falling in love with the Enemy but“ that ruins us and robs us with a smile on our lips, while we keep our heads deep in the sand ”.
