Obligatory masks in Campania: De Luca's ordinance extended

La new ordinance of the Region, published on 31 July, provides for the extension of theObligation to wear a mask in Campania until 31 August 2021. In addition, the rules on the sale and consumption of alcohol are also extended.

Obligation to wear a mask

According to the ordinance it is it is mandatory to wear the mask also outside in all those situations where interpersonal distance cannot be respected or when they are created gatherings or crowds.

Even in all non-isolated places like urban centers, squares, promenades especially in the evening, during the lines in shops, at the market, on holidays and during similar events, it is mandatory to have with you and wear a mask. Of course, this also applies on board means of transport, including those outdoors such as ferries, boats and ships.

Ban on the sale of alcohol

The ordinance provides for or following prohibitions from 22.00 to 6.00:

  • the sale of alcohol to take away is prohibited of each gradation from each commercial exercise, therefore bars, pizzerias, restaurants, pubs, kiosks, wineries, supermarkets and even vending machines;
  • alcohol they cannot be consumed in public areas and open to the public, including the spaces that are located in front of commercial establishments, villas, squares and municipal parks;
  • in bars, wineries, pastry shops, ice cream parlors, kiosks and for anyone selling itinerant sales, the sale is only allowed at the counter or tables;
  • we remind you that in all cases gatherings in places open to the public and in public places are prohibited and there will be greater controls in the areas considered to be nightlife
