The Maschio Angioino Smart Tour inaugurates new exhibitions and routes to visit virtually!
Last December, the. Was inaugurated in Naples MAST (Maschio Angioino Smart Tour) which will offer visitors a renewed visit, thanks to a particular look of Castel Nuovo and an innovative way of using the exhibited works, based on the internet and the virtual reality.
In the Sala Carlo V, the so-called Sala Jerace on the first floor, are on display fifty sculptures by the Calabrian master Francesco Jerace, depicting illustrious figures of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, previously housed in Palazzo San Giacomo and in the rooms of the Civic Museum. The most representative work of his realistic style with classic shades is the marble bust Victa.
In the Sala della Loggia, also known as Room of the twentieth centuryon the third floor, i masterpieces of the twentieth century, with paintings and sculptures by artists such as Tizzano, Renda and Mercadante, whose works belong to the Neapolitan town hall or private donations.
An important aspect to highlight in this monument revolution, as mentioned, is the technological fruition of the works, not just those of the Maschio Angioino. Thanks to innovative navigation systems, developed for interaction with television screens, it will indeed be possible visiting virtually also other spaces and museums of the city of Naples.
Also, thanks to the smartphone app OPS (Works Parlanti Show), downloadable for free from the Apple and Android stores, you will have an interactive audio guide that will provide information on the works, which will speak to the visitor.
