The figure of Massimo Troisi is inextricably linked to our city of Napoli. In fact, his films were one of the main ones contributions to Neapolitan culture, a real means of communication to spread the city around the world.
His value for Naples was so strong that in 2013, one year after his death, a monument in his memory in the historic center of Naples, near via S. Biagio dei Librai, where Troisi moved when he was only 18 years old.
In 2023 an important event occurs, Troisi would have accomplished 70 years old on February 19th. San Giorgio a Cremano, where he was born, wanted to remember him with a series of festivity to make his figure even more immortal and, moreover, for the great occasion the honorary citizenship to Maria Grazia Cucinotta, actress who together with Troisi in the film "Il Postino" by Michael Radford, in which she played Beatrice Russo, the girl with whom Troisi/Mario Ruoppolo falls in love.
