The tragedy of Euripides on stage at the Teatro Mercadante in Naples in a modern version that retains its traditional features!

From 17 to 28 February 2016 arrives at Teatro Stabile (MercadanteMedea, the famous tragedy of Euripides, directed by Gabriele Lavia. The story of Medea and Jason's betrayals is modernized in its form but not in its content, because, as the director also points out, "Medea is a text, as they say, ancient, which does not mean dead, past; on the contrary, the older it is, the closer it is to an origin".

In a modern one Maroon then, the story of Medea seduced and abandoned by the Argonaut Jason, who will seek his revenge against the man he had so loved to leave his country and his family.

A story where the woman protagonist in the flesh is joined by passion as an ethereal protagonist, a burning and violent passion that will accompany us throughout the work.

To move the reins of the show will be there Gabriele Lavia, the now historical name of the Italian theater scene, which, if anything had risked doubts, signs the guarantee of quality of the representation at the bottom.

In the role of the very little heroic Jason it will be Daniele Pecci (Mine Vaganti of Ozpetek) while that of the tragic heroine Medea it will be Federica Di Martino.
