The extraordinary magic of Momix dance arrives at the Bellini Theater, with its ability to unleash illusions and suggestions
Momix, the famous theatrical company of dancers-acrobats led by the American choreographer Moses Pendleton, will enchant the audience of Bellini Theater of Naples, where they will be on stage with their new show Alchemy, from the 10 to the 15 February 2015.
The particularity of these performers lies in creating, before the eyes of the spectators, of the visual illusions through a skilful use of plays of shadows and lights, and in the ability to evoke a world of surreal images using body, costumes, tools, lights and shadow games. Thus demonstrating that he knows how to redesign space using only bodies and light, in a continuous oscillation between material and immaterial.
In Alchemy Moses Pendleton wanted to give life to the art of alchemy, and the alchemy of art, with an evocative multimedia show created by its superb dancers, a work full of fantasy, irony, beauty, mystery.
Thanks to Alchemy viewers will know the secrets of four primordial elements. earth, air, fire, water, transporting them into a surreal dimension as in a spell. Artists, like alchemists, can find and reveal the formula of the elixir of life, or the formula of gold.
