The photo exhibition on Pink Floyd will be in the galleries of the Roman Amphitheater in Pompeii!

On June 21, 2016 , on the occasion of the Festa della Musica , the preview of the photographic exhibition dedicated to Pink Floyd and the unforgettable moments linked to the closed-door concert that took place in 1971 and which gave birth to the video “Pink Floyd-Live at Pompeii” will be held at the Pompeii excavations.

Superintendent Massimo Osanna and event curator Adrian Maben have decided to offer a preview of the exhibition, which will open to the public on July 9th , following the David Gilmour concert . There will be a short break from July 12th, then the exhibition will resume on July 18th and conclude at the end of September. Pompeii thus opens the galleries of the Roman Amphitheater to the public, places that will remain in the memories of those who saw Peter Hunt's 1984 film "The Last Days of Pompeii," or those who saw the English band's video.

The photographic exhibition includes more than 250 photographs , including on-stage shots and previously unseen footage that recounts the four days Pink Floyd spent filming their masterpiece. The exhibition will include cameraman shots, a video of the band's conversations, and a video of interviews filmed by director Adrian Maben at Abbey Road Studios in London while the four artists were recording the album " The Dark Side of the Moon ."

The music of Pink Floyd will accompany visitors along the 80 meters of underground passages in an unforgettable atmosphere.
