A work by the Neapolitan artist Lu Astell in the exhibition Sotto Sopra in Castel dell'Ovo

Contemporary Neapolitan art in the works of Lu Astell exhibited in the “Sotto Sopra” exhibition at the Castel dell'Ovo

In the suggestive Hall of the Terraces of Castel dell'Ovo will be held, until the 3 June 2014, the personal exhibition of the Neapolitan artist Luca Castellano, in art Lu Astell, Entitled Upside down.

The exhibition is promoted by the Intentart cultural association and is curated by Simona Pasquali, and aims to show visitors Neapolitan contemporary art through colorful, ironic, dynamic and innovative works, starting from the artistic material chosen by Lu Astell. All the works on display, in fact, were made on cardboard, which becomes a means to express oneself without conditioning, thanks to a fantastic and constantly evolving painting, through the reproduction of stylized and essential figures, which approach the style of graffiti and the primitivism of African art.

Lu Astell is a Neapolitan artist son of art (his father is Luca Luigi Castellano) he approached the world of art from an early age, coming into contact with the great Neapolitan artists of the second half of the 900th century. His graphic and pictorial production is constantly evolving and full of experimentation. His works tell fragments of the world, faces, hugs, bewilderments, between frames and projections of his own conscience.
