All the free museums, palaces, parks, churches and monuments for Sunday 6 November 2016 in Naples!

The initiative continues #Domenicalmuseo, conceived by the Ministry of Culture more than two years ago, and also on Sunday November 6, 2016 i museums will be free in Naples, as well as in all cities of Italy.

Specifically, these are state museums and not private ones, although for many months we have tried to ensure that these structures also join the initiative.

In addition to museums, however, many will remain open for free palaces, churches, monumental gardens, historic houses parks and others monuments that adhere.

Generally, each appointment is dedicated to a different theme, such as the relationship between museums and sport or the importance of cinema in culture. For the moment we do not know the theme of Sunday in November, but we will update the article when it is communicated.

Pompeii Excavations Schedules

Access to the excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum and those of Boscoreale and Oplontis is regulated differently due to the large influx of visitors. In any case, admission is free.

The time slots of Pompeii are as follows:

  • from 8.30 to 12,30 and from 14,30 to 18,00
  • once the 15 thousand visitors have been reached, an early closure may occur in the first time slot. The second band, however, will start regularly at 14.30

There could also be control measures for the Herculaneum and Boscoreale excavations with time limitations.
