The Archaeological Museum of Naples will reopen the Egyptian section, with many news for the enhancement of its heritage!

Il Archaeological Museum of Naples, for its priceless collections, it is one of the most important in Italy and Europe and, after a long time, finally will re-open its Egyptian section.

A second section, in importance, only to the one kept in the Turin Museum and which will finally reopen to the public from the 7 October 2016. The new director Paolo Giulierini announced it during the press conference of the International Day of the City Guide, held right at the museum.

It is just one of the many initiatives that the director himself intends to put into practice to make citizens and tourists even more aware of theimmense value of our museum, unfortunately not appreciated yet enough.
As stated by Giulierini, it is essential to succeed in to reinforce the link between the museum and the territory and to ensure that the museum, as well as other cultural structures, dialogue with the population, planning initiatives with everyone and not just in the "secret rooms".

The importance of the Egyptian collection preserved in Naples is also underlined by the collaborations with other museums: on 4 March, for example, 40 pieces will be moved to Turin within an exhibition set up there.

Among the novelties, the setting up of an exhibition "Myth and Nature”In the Salone della Meridiana in conjunction with the reopening of two historic gardens of the museum. An opportunity also to link the visit to the exhibition to the visit to other important green places in the city such as theBotanical Garden, Wood of Capodimonte and the cloisters.

These are all steps that want to lead to a revaluation of the cultural heritage of Naples, also through a more intense activity at the media and multimedia level, so much so that soon the new site del Museo and will be presented on new logo.
