Relics, documents and historical photos in the Fire Brigade Museum in the former Pietrasanta convent in Naples.

The 5 July 2017 was inaugurated the Fire Brigade Historical Gallery at the headquarters of the Campania Regional Directorate VVF, former convent of the Pietrasanta of Naples.

In the museum it is possible reconstruct the history of the Neapolitan and Campanian Firefighters, starting from the foundation with Giuseppe Napoleone Bonaparte, who created the first fire brigade in Naples inspired by the French model of the Sapeurs Pompiers. Only with Ferdinand II of Bourbon, then, the body was refounded and found its place in the former monastery of the '300 annexed to the church.

Thanks to gods illustrative panels, to the original documents of the founding decrees, to the testimonies of the interventions of the 1800 Firefighters and to the first calls for competition we can reconstruct the development of this efficient body.

In the chapel are also exhibited religious-themed paintings from the 800 and the 900 from Museum of San Martino, unique relics among which the firearms dating back to the Bourbon period, photos, cards, letters, documents and provisions of service, which allow us to retrace and experience the same events of the city and the country of that time.
