The rich Contemporary Section reopens at the Capodimonte Museum with many works by internationally renowned artists!

Il Museum of Capodimonte returns to offer the public one of its flagships, the Contemporary Section, which reopens with a new restyling.

After a period of work, the spaces on the third floor dedicated to contemporary art are now accessible and with a dedicated card, while the 'visiting hours have been extended.

To suffer the maintenance interventions they were not only the halls, but also the works, which will return to shine thanks to the commitment of both the museum's internal restorers and external restorers. The Contemporary Section of the Capodimonte Museum, inaugurated in 1978, welcomes more than 90 works between sculptures, photographs and installations.

Almost all the exhibited works were born from the constant relationship that the artists have established over time with the suggestions of the city of Naples.

Over the years the collection has been enriched thanks to the donations of artists and collectors: the works in the exhibition bear the signature, among others, of Mimmo Jodice, Andy Warhol, Pistoletto, Mario Merz and William Kentridge.

Recall that every Thursday, until September, the ticket for the Museum will cost only 1 euro for evening entrances.
