Il 18 May 2023, Municipal Council issued a press release regarding the introduction of temporary road traffic restrictions in the Vomero-Soccavo area. This measure is necessary to allow the continuation of the jobs of static consolidation of the viaduct.
Among thethe 22nd and 25th of May, traffic restrictions will affect itconnection rats between the Vomero-Soccavo perimeter road and the Naples ring road. In detail, the ban will be active from 22 May 2023 to 25 May 2023, in night period between 22:00 and 06:00.
The Areas Affected by the Provision
The suspension of the vehicular passage will be applied in several specific areas:
- Direction via Caldieri-via Pigna: On the ramp connecting to the Tangenziale, transit will be prohibited and vehicles will be forced to continue along via Pigna.
- Vomero-Pianura direction on the perimeter road: There will be a ban on transit along the "Vomero" exit ramp.
- Direction Pianura-Vomero on the perimeter road: Two sections in particular will be affected:
- The stretch between the junction “via Epomeo; Trajan district; Fuorigrotta” and the “Tangenziale” – “via Caldieri-via De Ruggiero” junction, where it will be mandatory to exit in the direction of via Epomeo; Trajan district; Outside the cave.
- From the San Domenico roundabout, along the ramp in the direction of "Vomero Tangenziale" which enters the perimeter road.
