At the suggestive San Lorenzo Maggiore complex of Naples will be held, Saturday November 4 2017, a special evening dedicated to all those who wish to discover the mysteries, legends and secrets of our incredible city. An opportunity not to be missed to spend the dedicated weekend to the celebration of the dead immersed in a unique atmosphere, made of superstition, mystery, art and legend.
Naples, ghosts and other stories is a theatrical visit, curated by the cultural NarteA and written and directed by Febo Quercia, which will guide the spectators in the spaces of Underground Neapolis of San Lorenzo Maggiore, in the heart of the ancient center, to tell and unveil legends, rumors and secrets linked to the esoteric soul of the city, for a night full of Neapolitan ghosts along a sort of mystery itinerary.

The true story of the ghosts of Naples that cross the streets of the city
So many are the restless spirits that hover in the streets and alleys of ancient Naples, and their fascinating stories will be told and staged in the evocative undergrounds of the Monumental Complex of San Lorenzo Maggiore.
Suspended between reality and fantasy, truth and rumors, it will be possible to know the true stories of the most famous ghosts of Neapolitan legends listening to them directly from them. The spirits will, in fact, have the opportunity to speak in first person telling their tormented and rough lives.
Among the protagonists of the theatrical visit: Maria D'Avalos and Fabrizio Carafa, and the stories of their love covered by blood and shame; Judith Guastamacchia, a devil of a woman in the body of an angel who led men to violence and misdeeds; but also the personal events of two great historical intellectuals, such as Matilde Serao and Benedetto Croce, whose spirit still pervades the streets of the city, unconsciously guiding its inhabitants.
