The Festival of the Orient celebrates the harmony of different culinary cultures. Immerse yourself in the serene Japanese Tea Ceremony, a ritual where every gesture is transformed into art, presenting the essence of contrasting seasons in a cup of tea.
The culinary experience continues in the oriental restaurants, offering a unique odyssey of flavours, from traditional to modern. Visitors can explore the best of gastronomy from Japan, China, India and beyond, served in surroundings that blend the exotic with the refined.
One of the most exciting attractions will be the “Oriental Street Food Village”, a “route of taste” where oriental delicacies, from classic to modern, will be at the center of attention, offering a culinary journey through sushi, pho and ramen.
Gastronomy lovers won't want to miss the areas dedicated tofood and wine, offering a wide range of flavors from chocolatey to Irish and Latin. While, the section dedicated toOctober festival opens up a world of Bavarian delights, from traditional beers to succulent grills from every corner of the world.
Finally, the Street Food promises a culinary journey like no other, presenting a fusion of flavors that cross borders, from American flavors to Sardinian cure-alls, offering a feast of taste and culture in every bite.
The shows scheduled
Among the shows you can attend for Naples Meet the World, there will be:
Chinese Face Mask Changing
- It is a Chinese art characteristic of Sichuan Opera, thanks to which the actor shows the public the various moods of the character, changing the masks of the face from time to time through rapid movements.
Japanese painting Suiboku-Ga
- Yoshiko Kubota, a famous Japanese artist, will perform a painting show using Indian ink on sheets of rice paper.
Mongolian traditional dance
- The Khukh Mongols group will perform Mongolian traditional dance, it will be an extraordinary show with live music.
Indian spiritual songs and dances
- Dances and spiritual songs of the Indian people with the participation of the National Institute Hare Khrisna "Iskon".
Building the Mandala
- The monks of the Samten Choeling Monastery in Varanasi will try their hand at building a wonderful mandala with colored sands. Its construction will be completed in two days, and so on the last day of the Festival, visitors will witness its destruction as per Tibetan ceremonial and the delivery of the sacred sand of the Mandala.

How to participate
To be able to participate in the event Naples meets the world it will be necessary to purchase a ticket costing 16 euros for adults and 11 euros for children aged 8 to 12 on the official website of the event. The stands will be open from 10:00 to 22:00.
