The first 3D Multimedia Theater is born at the Galleria del Mare in Naples. The first projection on the eruption of Vesuvius.
It was inaugurated this morning at 11:30 on Multimedia Theater to the Maritime Station of Naples, on the first floor of the Shopping Center "Galleria del Mare".
It is a Multimedia Theater 3D / multi D that will allow citizens and tourists to watch immersive and stereoscopic projections of films that will faithfully reproduce artistic and architectural masterpieces of Campania but also reconstructions of important events of its history.
The first screening will be, from today, Vesuviodamare, a film in 3D of 15 minutes translated into five different languages that reproduces in detail the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD..
The actor Mariano Rigillo lends his voice to Pliny the Younger which tells a Tacito the extraordinary, and at the same time terrible, event that has marked the geological history of our territory, recalling the last hours of life of the uncle Pliny the Elder and of all the inhabitants of Pompeii, Stabia and Ercolano, cities completely submerged by ashes, lava and lapilli.
Il Multimedia Theater It is a cultural and educational proposal that will attract visitors, students and Neapolitan people who wish to discover the past of our city and region in an innovative and technological way, with the possibility of virtually immersing themselves in the most significant episodes of history and exploring our artistic treasures.
The project was born on the initiative of the collaboration between Protom Group SpA, Cives Foundation / MAV - Virtual Archaeological Museum of Herculaneum and Terminal SpA as part of "Mav on Tour".
