The Faculty of Engineering of Naples will host the NASA International Space App Challenge!

Il 23 and the 24 April 2016, At the College of Engineering of the Federico II of Naples, the "Nasa International Space App Challenge", the extraordinary hackfest (ie a meeting in which various experts in different fields of information technology and, in this case, engineering, meet) dedicated to all lovers of space technology and its applications.

The event, promoted by NASA, will start with the registration of the participants, the presentation of the competitions and the formation of the teams. It is held simultaneously in 160 cities around the world and the purpose is to find new ideas and solutions for the Earth and space in general.

This year we will talk about aeronautics, space station, technology, Solar System, the Earth and the journey to Mars.

There will be two news: first the winners of the competition will be entitled to a cash reward made available by the Consulate of the United States for Southern Italy. In addition, the first two classified will be nominated for the global award ceremony for the five finalist categories (Best Use of Data, Best Use of Hardware, Best Mission Concept, Galactic Impact and Most Inspirational).

Another novelty of the highly anticipated Neapolitan hackaton will be the participation of the astronaut Luke Parmitano that, via Skype, will preview the 21 April 2016 at 10: 30 at the TA3 classroom in Via Nuova Agnano 11, along with other important faces in the sector.

Naples represents one of the 160 cities in the world choices for this event, thanks to the excellence and preparation provided by the University Federico II, a pole of the highest avant-garde and undisputed boast for all the Neapolitans.
