The decumani of Naples will be a pedestrian area for 2013 Christmas

From December the pedestrian areas will start in the Decumani area in the historical center of the city

Even this year, like last year, the plan will start pedestrianization of the Decumani in the historic center of Naples, on the occasion of the Christmas holidays. The extraordinary pedestrian area will mainly concern the lower Decumano and will start on Sunday 1 December 2013, to allow citizens and tourists who are pouring into the city to make the most of the commercial and cultural offer of the area.

In fact, from Sunday the Decumano bass will become a unique pedestrian way: therefore the direction of travel for via San Biagio dei Librai it will be unique from the intersection with San Gregorio Armeno to Via Tribunali.

From 1 December the pedestrian areas will also start for the other three Decumani, but with precise times and days to be respected. Only pedestrians will be allowed to leave every Friday from 15 to 24, and every Saturday and Sunday from 8 to 24. The same will happen for the 24, 25 and 26 December, days when only pedestrians can cross the Decumani.

Finally, also the tourist buses will not be able to transit on some roads, while the parking lots available are those present in the east area at Via Vespucci and those of Fuorigrotta.
